We need your help! The Foundation is currently raising funds to improve existing playgrounds within the Anderson Parks and to construct a nature playscape at Johnson Hills Park. Childrens’ playgrounds are some of the most popular attractions within the Anderson Park District system. Fun and safe playgrounds are located at Beech Acres, Juilfs, Kellogg, Laverty, Veterans, and Riverside Parks. Improvements include replacing or repairing pieces of play equipment, adding shade structures, and improving the pedestrian flow in and around playgrounds.

A playground with a natural twist is currently being planned for Johnson Hills Park. The Johnson Hills Park nature playscape will be a combination of nature-themed equipment and items found in nature that encourage imaginative play, including but not limited to boulders, logs, digging in dirt, etc.

Please visit our Donation page to make a tax deductible donation to help improve the playgrounds and/or to help make the Johnson Hills Park nature playscape a reality.

Or, honor someone special and support your community through the Playground Fund! Leave a legacy for the “Apple of Your Eye” on the new, farm-themed playground at Juilfs Park. Donors of $100 or more will have their tribute featured in a lasting, meaningful, and creative way on the sponsor Apple Tree (see below).

Forms for donating to the Playground Fund and honoring that special person on the "Apple of Your Eye" Memorial can be found on the Foundation Donation Page located here:
